You can get Hargray cable and fiber internet in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina—18 markets total. It’s mostly all cable internet across the board with speeds ranging from 100–950Mbps.
Hargray Fiber is available in 15 markets across Florida and Georgia. We list the specific markets in our FAQ.
Lastly, Hargray offers some DSL internet mostly in rural areas, but it doesn’t advertise the plans and prices. DSL speeds start at 1.5Mbps.

A quick glance at our recent speed test numbers pulled from April 2022 to April 2023 shows Hargray has a slower download speed average than Cable One’s other cable and fiber internet provider, Sparklight (129.95Mbps). It also falls behind many major cable internet providers such as Astound Broadband, Cox, Optimum, Spectrum, and Xfinity.

How Hargray compares to the competition
When we look at the gigabit plans, Hargray can’t compete against the bigger brands, like Spectrum and Xfinity. For example, Hargray’s Internet 1000 Mbps plan costs $115.00 per month for the first six months, while Xfinity and Windstream cost $65.00 and $69.99 per month, respectively.

Is Hargray the same as Sparklight?
Cable One owns both networks. Cable One became a 15% minority investor in Hargray in 2020 and then purchased the remaining 85% portion from an investment group in 2021.

What are Hargray's equipment fees?
Hargray charges a monthly fee for the following equipment:
- Hargray Wi-Fi Router: $12.50
- Hargray Wi-Fi Router + 2 access points (Wall to Wall Wi-Fi, optional): $22.50
Does Hargray have an installation fee?
Hargray normally charges $50 for installation, but sometimes Hargray runs promotions with free installation.
What is Power Boost?
Power Boost is an optional service for Hargray Fiber that increases your upload speed to match your download speed. It’s free for the first three months and costs $10 per month after that. Other fiber internet providers don’t charge an extra fee for symmetrical speeds.
Does Hargray have any hidden fees?
Hargray charges a one-time Activation Dispatch Fee of $99 if you discontinue service during the first 12 months. You’ll also see a Carrier Cost Recovery Fee ($2.87) each month and a Paper Billing Fee ($2.00) if you don’t choose digital billing. You can opt for the Connected Home Plan ($5.99/mo.) that covers service calls related to the wiring in your home.
Are all plans available where I live?
Availability, pricing, and promotional length vary across Hargray’s 18 service areas. We used pricing found in Georgia as an example, which has promotional pricing for six months. Other markets have discounts ranging from 3–24 months.
Does Hargray have contracts?
No, Hargray does not have traditional contracts. However, Hargray charges you a $99 fee up front, which you get back after 12 months of service.
Does Hargray have data caps?
No, Hargray does not enforce data caps or charge an extra fee for unlimited data.
