They are VERY lucky there is only 1/2 star as the lowest rating. I have had Mediacom for about 4 years and EVERY single summer there are endless issues with connectivity, upload speed, and customer service. They are always threatening to charge me service fees to come and fix the connections that they put in. The customer service is terrible and I have to wait 3-10 days for some appointments. If there were any other decent options to switch to I would gladly pay 10 times the monthly rate just to get out of this terrible internet service provider. There is absolutely no good reason to ever use their service. I wish I had any other option for gaming and smart home speeds. I have had tech visits over 30 times and they always "have work orders around town" or "it must be an inside-the-house problem". I have three wifi 6 hot spots that I own and a top-of-the-line modem that cost $200 by itself. I have invested over $1000 in internal wifi components to ensure that it is not an internal problem. I have also had a friend who is in cyber security come and check and confirm that all of my equipment is up to date, running properly, and hooked up correctly. If there is any way that you could find ANY other provider for your home internet service PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES, ISSUES, AND COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE SERVICE.

Worst internet service I’ve had since dial up internet …. And dail up was more reliable…. Don’t buy Mediacom internet in the lake crystal mn area … the infrastructure is so bad during any time after 4 peak hours cause speeds to drop to less than 40mbps and everyday …. I pay 150 a month for 1 gb and only receive that speed and hour or two a day max at all other times it completely unusable… 2 years running with this issue with zero help …. Do anything you can to not waste your money with them at all cost …

Since February, internet disconnects multiple times a day. Work from home wife has to go to her mothers every day. No technicians can fix it, and only 5 days credit on my bill. Worst service and company. Please get fiber in my neighborhood...

Refiner is the internet and phone provider that I’ve been with for a number of years. Their prices are reasonable. They do not have data caps like mediacom. I signed up with rsfiber as soon as they put the fiber in the ground here. I will never go back! Mediacom had numerous outages, usually right before a weekend and of course no technician would be available until sometime the following week.

I’ve had Mediacom for 20 years and have had nothing but problems. I probably call customer service average five times a month. Now my Internet keeps cutting out. Need a change.

Speed was not as fast as what I purchased, and would not stay connected. Their customer service was incompetent. Any time I tried to contact them they restarted the modem, which always caused problems but was especially bad when it happened during an online chat with support.
