Brand Guides
You can bundle internet with mobile service through the Spectrum One promotion. During the first 12 months, you get the standard discounted price for internet plus Advanced WiFi and an Unlimited Mobile line at no extra cost.
But does bundling these two services really save you money? Yes, you can pocket a considerable amount over the first year. It’s a tad bit more expensive than bundling internet with Spectrum Voice, its home phone service, but you can use Spectrum Mobile anywhere Verizon provides cellular service—and you can’t do that with Spectrum Voice.
If you’re on the fence about adding Spectrum Mobile when you order internet, we’ll list what’s available to you, the pros and cons of bundling, and the prices you’ll eventually pay so you can better choose what’s best for you.

How do you get a Spectrum Mobile and Internet bundle deal?
You can bundle Spectrum Internet with Spectrum Mobile by following this path on the Spectrum website:
Residential > Packages > Spectrum One
Don’t choose Packages > Shop Packages and toggle on the Internet and Unlimited Mobile options afterward. The following results gave us bundle deals for internet and landline phone service, not mobile. Spectrum One is the only way to bundle these two services for now.
New customers must sign up for a Spectrum Internet plan of 300Mbps or faster to get a Spectrum Mobile line. Existing customers can only add Spectrum Mobile service costing $29.99 per month per line—but you can get a second Unlimited Mobile line free for the first 12 months.
Which Spectrum Mobile and Internet plans qualify for bundle deals?
You can bundle Spectrum Mobile with an internet plan with speeds of 300Mbps or faster. We didn’t see an option to bundle the Unlimited Plus plan, but the website says you can upgrade to Unlimited Plus at any time. Call customer service or visit a local Spectrum store and ask about Unlimited Plus if you need more mobile data each month.

Spectrum provides mostly cable internet and some fiber-to-the-home internet in “untapped” areas that don’t have cable, like new neighborhoods. You get a modem or gateway rent-free for the duration of the service, but Wi-Fi is an extra $5 per month, whether you have the gateway or Spectrum’s standalone router.
The Assist and 100Mbps plans don’t have widespread availability, so you may not see them listed in your area. Plus, you can’t bundle these two plans with Spectrum Mobile.

Spectrum bundles internet with its Spectrum Mobile Unlimited service by default. Technically, you get unlimited data but expect throttled speeds when you burn through 20GB of data before the billing cycle ends. The Spectrum Mobile website says you can switch to Unlimited Plus at any time.
Additionally, Spectrum Mobile requires Spectrum Internet to work. Your phone mostly uses local Wi-Fi networks and Spectrum hotspots (which include neighboring home gateways) to make calls and access the internet. If a Spectrum WiFi network is out of range, your phone switches to Verizon’s network.
Based on Spectrum Mobile’s coverage map, most of Verizon’s cellular network is still 4G LTE, but there’s a good chance you’ll see 5G service where you live.
Should you bundle Spectrum Mobile with Spectrum Internet?
Spectrum provides a great deal for the first 12 months if you need internet and mobile service.
New customers already get a $30 monthly discount for internet service during the first year. Spectrum Internet can be an absolute steal if you can get its fiber-to-the-home service, as it offers symmetrical speeds and better reliability, unlike cable internet (for now, at least).
But with the Spectrum One promotion, you also get a single Unlimited Mobile line and Advanced WiFi at no extra cost during the first year. That’s a savings of $34.99 per month—$419.88 total over the first 12 months. Kapow!
Pros:
- Great bundling discount
- No internet data caps
- No contracts
Cons:
- Limited fiber availability
- Price hikes after 12 months
- Spectrum Internet requirement

What we like—you get the best of both Spectrum worlds
Spectrum ranks third for overall customer satisfaction in our latest survey, falling behind Verizon and EarthLink. It ranks second in speed satisfaction, offering up to 500Mbps in upload speeds in some areas via cable internet and up to 1,000Mbps downloads in most areas. Its fiber internet has symmetrical speeds and better reliability if you can get it.
The big callouts are no data caps on landline internet, no contracts, and free modems (or gateways). The bundle prices are cheap, too—essentially the same price you pay for internet alone during the first year. You could use the money you save to purchase one of the best Wi-Fi routers available when the promotion ends.
And you know you can count on great mobile service thanks to Verizon’s nationwide 4G LTE and 5G network. It’s available across 70% of the U.S., so even if a Spectrum hotspot isn’t nearby, Verizon has your back with great speeds, even in rural areas.
What we don’t like—Spectrum makes bundling confusing
Considering how Spectrum loves to advertise Spectrum One at least once per hour on TV, the website is a real headache—at least for this guy. There’s a specific path you must take to bundle Spectrum Internet with Spectrum Mobile, or else you may end up trying to add Spectrum Voice instead. Then again, you may see something completely different, depending on your location.
That said, you’re probably better off walking into a Spectrum store and ordering service from a smiling human. But hold on there, partner. Don’t go moseying in with stars in your eyes, thinking you struck gold with some long-term savings. We’ll go over the price hikes you’ll see after 12 months.
Buyer beware—price hikes and other fun stuff to consider
Your cost goes up significantly after the first year, and here are the post-promo prices.
Bundle | Internet price | Phone price | WiFi price | Total post-promo cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Spectrum Internet® + Unlimited Line | $79.99/mo. | $29.99/mo. | $5/mo. | $114.98/mo. |
Spectrum Internet® Ultra + Unlimited Line | $99.99/mo. | $29.99/mo. | $5/mo. | $134.98/mo. |
Spectrum Internet® Gig + Unlimited Line | $199.99/mo. | $29.99/mo. | $5/mo. | $154.98/mo. |
Spectrum’s monthly cost for internet service increases by $30 after the first year. Tack on the monthly Spectrum Mobile and WiFi service charges when the Spectrum One promotion ends, and your cost increases by $64.99 per month for any plan you choose.
In addition to the post-promo price hikes, there are a few other things to consider when you bundle mobile with internet.
Internet installation fee: Spectrum charges a one-time fee of $59.99. The self-install option was not available when we tried to order service.
Per-line activation fee: Spectrum charges a one-time fee of $10 per line.
Spectrum Internet requirement: You cannot get Spectrum Mobile without Spectrum’s internet service. Choose Verizon if you already have internet from another provider.
Auto Pay: You must enroll in Auto Pay to have Spectrum Mobile service

Expert opinion: Great savings with a catch
Spectrum is a steal during the first 12 months, especially if you bundle internet with mobile. You save $34.99 each month when you choose Spectrum One, and those savings can add up during your first year.
But once the promotion ends, your total cost nearly doubles each month. Any extras you tack on along the way—an extra line, TV service, the battery backup—may greatly increase your post-promo cost even more.
Spectrum Mobile vs. Spectrum Voice bundles
Bundle | Total price | Internet speed | Monthly data | Order online |
---|---|---|---|---|
Spectrum Internet® + Unlimited Line | $49.99/mo.* for 12 mos. when bundled | Up to 300Mbps (wireless speeds may vary) | Unlimited‡ | View Plans |
Spectrum Internet® + Voice | $69.98/mo.† for 12 mos. when bundled | Up to 300Mbps (wireless speeds may vary) | N/A | View Plans |
As we mentioned earlier, the website had us digging through home phone plans at one point instead of mobile. Spectrum offers a landline phone service that also requires Spectrum Internet to use, meaning you send and receive calls across your internet connection (cable or fiber) versus the traditional phone line.
Overall, bundles with internet, voice, and Wi-Fi are $10 cheaper than Spectrum One bundles once the promotion ends. The cost difference is due to Spectrum Voice’s $19.99 monthly pricing versus Spectrum Mobile at $29.99.
FAQ about Spectrum’s mobile and internet bundles
Can I bring my own device to Spectrum Mobile?
Yes, you can bring your own device to Spectrum Mobile if it’s compatible with Verizon’s cellular network. Use Spectrum’s eligibility check tool to see if it’s compatible.
Can I trade my old phone in for a new one with Spectrum Mobile?
Yes, you can trade in your current phone for $100 towards a new phone offered by Spectrum Mobile. Be sure to check Spectrum’s instructions on how to trade in your mobile device.
Why does Spectrum Mobile require Spectrum Internet?
Spectrum doesn’t have its own cellular network. Instead, it relies on Verizon to provide 4G LTE and 5G service.
Spectrum Mobile heavily depends on wireless networks with a Spectrum Internet plan to reduce the load on Verizon’s network. These networks include the one in your home, your neighbor’s network with the Spectrum Mobile hotspot enabled on the gateway, and public Spectrum WiFi hotspots.
Your phone installs a profile to connect to these networks automatically. It switches over to Verizon’s network when Spectrum WiFi is unavailable.
Where does Spectrum have fiber internet?
Spectrum’s core network is all fiber. With cable internet, Spectrum’s fiber stops at the entrance of a neighborhood, for example, where cable takes over to deliver internet to homes. Spectrum provides fiber-to-the-home service in “greenfield” markets—areas that don’t have cable internet already in place. So, while your neighborhood may have Spectrum’s cable internet, another newer one up the road may have fiber. You won’t know which is available until you call for new service.
